Pump.fun, the memecoin launchpad under fire from Burwick Law, has fortified its legal defense with high-profile hires. Baton Corporation, its parent company, enlisted crypto litigation specialists from Brown Rudnick—including ex-SEC investigator Daniel L. Sachs—to counter allegations of securities violations and market manipulation.
The lawsuit, filed in January 2025, accuses Pump.fun of artificially inflating token prices to the detriment of investors. Burwick Law's class action now targets co-founders and key stakeholders, signaling a widening legal battle that could set precedents for meme-based crypto projects.
